Ripple Clears EU CASP Hurdle for Wider Crypto Adoption
Ripple has received preliminary approval for its Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg's financial regulator under the EU's MiCA framework.
This milestone, combined with Ripple's existing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the UK, allows European banks, fintechs, and businesses to access Ripple's full crypto and stablecoin payment infrastructure through a single regulated integration.
The approval enables Ripple to expand its crypto services across the 30 countries of the European Economic Area, marking a significant step toward broader institutional adoption of digital assets in Europe.
Ripple's UK CEO highlighted this as the start of the next wave of institutional digital asset adoption in the region.
