CertiK Highlights Crypto Security Risks at DC Blockchain Summit
CertiK, a leading Web3 security company, recently attended the DC Blockchain Summit in the United States. The event provided a platform for industry experts to discuss key challenges and opportunities in crypto infrastructure security and regulation.
During the summit, Jason Jiang, Chief Brand Officer at CertiK, participated in a panel discussion on crypto security and industry regulation. He drew attention to the findings of the company's '2025 Skynet Hack3D Report,' which identified smart contract vulnerabilities as the largest attack surface. Cross-chain bridges were also highlighted as high-value targets for hackers due to their concentrated liquidity.
Jiang emphasized that supply chain attacks have become a significant threat, with two incidents in 2025 resulting in losses exceeding $1.45 billion. He warned about the risks associated with cross-chain bridges, including complex verification mechanisms and uneven security standards within the industry.
Regarding incident response, Jiang stressed the importance of regulatory frameworks that support responsible vulnerability disclosure, security technology research, and cross-industry collaboration. This approach would focus on preventing delays in responding to incidents and promoting a more secure crypto ecosystem.
