Digital Chamber Urges Senate Leaders to Advance CLARITY Act
The Digital Chamber, a blockchain trade association, has sent a letter to Senate leaders urging them to move the CLARITY Act to markup. The bill, which aims to regulate digital assets, has been stalled in the Senate Banking Committee despite passing the House with bipartisan support in July 2025.
The letter, addressed to Senators Tim Scott and Elizabeth Warren, as well as Cynthia Lummis and Ruben Gallego, notes that lawmakers have spent significant time addressing complex issues within the bill's framework. The association argues that markup is the next step in the process and emphasizes the need for clearer regulation to support the growing adoption of digital assets in the US.
The push comes as industry groups expect the next phase to accelerate oversight efforts. The Digital Chamber framed the request as both procedural and strategic, highlighting the importance of delivering clarity for the over 70 million Americans who have adopted digital assets. The statement also linked legislative progress to competitiveness, warning that delays could slow innovation as other jurisdictions advance.
