Tezos Strengthens Regional Presence with New Singapore Hub
Tezos has made a significant move in its quest to expand its presence in Southeast Asia by launching a new hub in Singapore, dubbed Tezos Southeast Asia. The entity will focus on incubating projects, attracting developers, and accelerating web3 adoption across key sectors such as gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the arts.
The launch of Tezos Southeast Asia coincides with the establishment of Tezos Middle East in Dubai, marking a broader institutional expansion for the energy-efficient blockchain. According to Tezos representatives, the new entity will not replace the existing setup spearheaded by TZ APAC, but rather co-exist and work collaboratively to drive growth.
The two entities, Tezos Southeast Asia and TZ APAC, will work together to nurture links with developers in the region, with David Tng, Managing Director of TZ APAC, welcoming the expansion. 'Millions of people across Southeast Asia were early adopters of Web3 apps and services, and the region has firmly established itself as a thriving hub for the development of ambitious new use-cases,' he stated.
To ensure that these new regional hubs operate cohesively, Tezos has also established the Tezos Patronage Association (TPA) based in Switzerland. The TPA will act as a central coordinating body to align strategic efforts across different regions, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
