NEAR Protocol Upgrades Mainnet with Post-Quantum Signing

The NEAR Protocol has launched its mainnet upgrade, version nearcore 2.13, bringing several key improvements to the network.

According to the MAINNET UPGRADE announcement, post-quantum signing is now live on NEAR mainnet, making it one of the first blockchains with a NIST-approved post-quantum signature scheme in production.

The upgrade also introduces dynamic resharding, allowing the network to scale itself automatically. This feature aims to handle growth more efficiently and reduce operational friction for the chain.
