Hedera Governance Council Gains Momentum with Fortune 500 Firms Onboard
The Hedera Governing Council, which includes 16 Fortune 500 firms, has drawn attention to HBAR's long-term case. The council comprises companies from technology, banking, logistics, telecoms, and consulting sectors, with names like Google, IBM, Dell, FedEx, Accenture, Standard Bank, Shinhan Bank, Nomura, Deutsche Telekom, and Hitachi.
The recent additions of FedEx and Accenture to the council have brought new business links to Hedera. FedEx's expertise in global shipping and supply chain operations adds another sector to Hedera's governance base, while Accenture's connections to AI and tokenization solutions have increased interest around possible business uses for the network.
The council model differs from normal crypto partnerships, as members operate nodes and hold equal voting rights within Hedera's governance system. This gives each firm a direct role in network decisions and oversight, making Hedera one of the most watched enterprise-focused crypto networks.
