Tokenized Real-World Assets Surpass $30 Billion in Value
Tokenized real-world assets (RWA) have experienced a significant surge in value over the past two years. According to ChainCatcher and a16z crypto data, the total value of RWAs has surpassed $30 billion. This rapid growth is largely attributed to increasing institutional demand for on-chain traditional financial instruments.
The majority of these tokenized assets are comprised of U.S. Treasury bonds, which currently dominate the market. However, the asset class is diversifying as other categories gain substantial market share. This trend indicates a broader acceptance and integration of tokenized assets within the financial sector.
