Bitmine Closes in on 5% ETH Goal, Invests Heavily Amidst Market Uncertainty

Bitmine has invested heavily in Ethereum (ETH), recently purchasing 52,203 ETH for approximately $90 million. This acquisition brings Bitmine's total ETH holdings to 4.7% of the asset's entire supply.

The company is now just 6% shy of its goal to own 5% of Ethereum's total supply, a target it aims to reach in less than a year since beginning its Ethereum accumulation spree.

Despite the current market conditions being 'sluggish and bearish at times,' Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, remains highly bullish on the industry. He believes that tokenization and advancements in AI will drive exponential demand growth for blockchain and decentralized crypto.
