US Senate Advances Crypto Bill, Boosting Bitcoin Price
The US Senate Banking Committee has made significant progress in advancing the Clarity Act, a landmark bill aimed at regulating the digital asset market. The committee voted 15-9 in favor of the bill, with two Democratic senators joining Republican members in supporting it.
With this development, the Clarity Act is now one step closer to becoming law. It will next be considered by the House of Representatives, which previously approved a similar version last year. If both chambers agree on a final version, the bill will be presented to former President Donald Trump for signature.
