Solv Protocol Migrates $700 Million Wrapped Bitcoin Infrastructure to Chainlink CCIP

Solv Protocol has taken steps to enhance the security of its wrapped Bitcoin infrastructure by migrating it from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). The move is part of a broader effort to address concerns about cross-chain security systems, following recent exploits on Kelp DAO and other bridge systems.

Solv's wrapped BTC infrastructure allows users to move Bitcoin liquidity across different blockchains while earning yield. The company has stated that the migration will improve security guarantees for users moving assets between chains.

Chainlink CCIP is described as a more battle-tested infrastructure layer with stronger defense systems and institutional-grade protection. This aligns with the growing trend in decentralized finance, where protocols are opting for providers with stronger security guarantees.
