Tether Reserve Wallet Transfers $14 Million in Bitcoin to Bitfinex

A significant movement in the cryptocurrency market has been observed as a Tether-linked Bitcoin reserve wallet sent approximately $14.36 million worth of Bitcoin to the Bitfinex exchange.

According to on-chain data shared by blockchain analytics firm EmberCN, the transaction involved 204.3 BTC being transferred from the reserve address to Bitfinex. This movement is notable as the Tether-linked wallet typically accumulates rather than distributes funds.

The Bitcoin reserve wallet has been actively accumulating since 2023, using a portion of Tether's profits to purchase the cryptocurrency. The address currently holds around $6.72 billion worth of BTC at current market prices.
