Binance Halts Metal Deposits and Withdrawals Ahead of Network Upgrade

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, will temporarily halt Metal (MTL) deposits and withdrawals starting at 3:00 p.m. UTC on July 8 to support an upcoming network upgrade and hard fork for the Metal blockchain.

The suspension is necessary to ensure a smooth transition and network stability during the planned upgrade and hard fork, which typically requires coordination between node operators, exchanges, and wallet providers.

Binance has assured users that their MTL tokens on the platform remain secure, with trading of MTL pairs unaffected during the suspension. Users are advised to monitor Binance's status page or official channels for further updates on service restoration.
