Aave Unveils Governance Proposal for Aave V4 Launch

Aave, a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has released a governance proposal to activate Aave V4 on the Ethereum mainnet. This new version is designed to provide a more scalable and flexible architecture.

The modular design of Aave V4 will allow for shared liquidity centers, known as Liquidity Hubs, to manage liquidity across multiple lending environments. Each environment, or Spoke, will have its own governance restrictions and risk parameterization capabilities. This approach aims to improve the overall efficiency and security of the platform.

The proposal also outlines plans for the introduction of topology, promotion paths, implementation models, and control mechanisms. An initial range of assets will be supported for risk parameterization upon launch. If the community reaches consensus on the proposal, it will be submitted for voting via Snapshot.
