Gemini Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Misleading IPO Claims in Crypto Market
Gemini, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, is facing a class-action lawsuit alleging that it made misleading statements during its initial public offering (IPO) in September.
The plaintiffs claim that Gemini's IPO documents portrayed the company as a growing crypto exchange with plans to expand globally, but instead, the firm made a sudden pivot to a prediction-market-centric business model, known as 'Gemini 2.0'.
The lawsuit alleges that this corporate shift led to significant losses for investors who purchased shares at what they claim were artificially inflated prices.
