Russian citizens' use of foreign cryptocurrency exchanges has reached significant levels, according to recent statements from Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov. Speaking at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Chebeskov noted that discussions with several foreign crypto exchanges indicate around 10 million wallets have been opened by Russian users on these platforms.
The data, while not yet fully confirmed, suggests a substantial scale of participation in cryptocurrency use among Russians. However, calculating the total amount of funds held by Russian citizens in cryptocurrencies remains challenging at this point.
