Gregaard Claims Over 200 German Companies Unknowingly Leverage Cardano as Trust Layer
Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard has made a notable claim about the adoption of Cardano in Germany, stating that around 200 large companies are unknowingly using its blockchain technology as a security layer, digital identity layer, and accountability layer through agentic AI deployments. This marks a significant example of blockchain adoption in the enterprise sector.
Gregaard pointed out that these firms use agentic AI to interact with systems, but Cardano's underlying blockchain handles tasks like ensuring data authenticity, user identity verification, and compliance monitoring without requiring end-user recognition. He framed this as a model where users can interact seamlessly with consumer applications while the blockchain manages background tasks.
The interview also highlighted the potential for regulatory certainty to drive broader adoption of blockchain technology beyond financial applications. Gregaard mentioned the US stablecoin framework under the GENIUS Act and its alignment with Europe's MiCA regime, suggesting that recent regulatory language could unlock new uses for Cardano in the enterprise sector.
