Binance Listing Sends Centrifuge Token Prices Skyrocketing

Cryptocurrency markets have witnessed another instance of significant price fluctuations following a major exchange listing. Centrifuge's native token CFG surged by over 71% in a matter of minutes after being added to Binance's spot trading platform.

The rapid price increase, from approximately $0.12 to around $0.20, was accompanied by an explosive growth in trading volume, exceeding $242 million and marking a 15,000% jump. This significant surge has brought the market capitalization of CFG to around $115 million, according to data recorded at the time of publication on CoinMarketCap.

The listing on Binance, the highest-volume exchange globally, is attributed to the immediate demand spike generated by the new exposure and accessibility of the asset. However, it remains to be seen whether these gains will hold in the medium term or if a correction will follow.
