Bitcoin ETF Outflows Swell to $64.8M as Altcoin Funds Attract Fresh Capital
The Bitcoin spot ETF market saw significant outflows on June 15, with $64.8 million leaving the space. This was largely driven by Grayscale's GBTC fund, which shed a staggering $124 million in a single session.
This loss is not surprising given GBTC's long history of bleeding assets since its conversion from a trust. However, other Bitcoin funds actually absorbed around $59 million in inflows on the same day, partially offsetting Grayscale's losses.
Meanwhile, altcoin ETFs were having a different story altogether. Ethereum spot ETFs attracted a notable $22.5 million in fresh capital, while Solana products added $2.7 million and XRP funds brought in $2.8 million.
XRP's cumulative inflows have now exceeded $1.4 billion since the launch of its spot ETFs, indicating that allocators are taking a serious look at this altcoin as a legitimate portfolio holding.
