LayerZero False Alarm: No Hack in $2.4M Executor Wallet Transfer

A recent alert claiming that LayerZero's Executor wallets were compromised across eight blockchains, resulting in the loss of about $2.4 million in crypto, has been deemed a false alarm by Crypto Patel and confirmed by LayerZero Core.

The reported hack allegedly occurred on several networks, including BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, Mantle, Plasma, and Ethereum, with funds being bridged to Ethereum. However, it was later revealed that the transactions were routine internal inventory rebalancing, not a result of an attack.

LayerZero stated that no user funds were at risk during the reported event, and protocol operations remained unaffected by the wallet transfers. The incident highlights the importance of verifying on-chain claims before reacting to security alerts.
