Bitcoin Recovers from Brief Dip, Regains $76K Amid Interest Rate Decision Volatility
Bitcoin has been volatile following the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, but the cryptocurrency managed to recover and regain its $76,000 level. This move positions Bitcoin for a double-digit gain in April, which would be a rare occurrence.
The market capitalization of Bitcoin rose to approximately $1.53 trillion during this 24-hour period, indicating increased investor interest in the asset. However, this growth also triggered significant liquidations, with over $266 million in long positions being closed.
Market participants are divided on the prospects for Bitcoin's price action. Gracie Lin, CEO of OKX SG, pointed out that institutional investors are not solely focused on single Fed decisions and instead watch for sustained participation in the market. In contrast, Sergei Gorev, head of risk at Youhodler, warned about potential headwinds due to historical patterns of declining Bitcoin prices following changes in Federal Reserve leadership.
