Wirex and Utorg Unveil Seamless Crypto-to-Card Spending Experience

Wirex, a global payments platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Utorg, a fintech company building infrastructure for the stablecoin economy. The collaboration aims to provide users with a seamless experience of holding digital assets in self-custodial wallets and spending them globally.

The integration of Wirex's Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform into Utorg's consumer wallet ecosystem enables users to hold assets in self-custodial wallets while maintaining full control over their funds. The partnership also provides users with the ability to spend their balances at merchants worldwide through a Wirex-powered payment card.

The move advances Utorg's vision of making digital assets practical for everyday use by combining self-custody, global payments, and local financial rails into a single consumer experience. The partnership positions Utorg alongside other crypto-native platforms choosing Wirex BaaS as the backbone for their payment card programmes.
