THORChain Suffers Security Breach Resulting in $10.8 Million Theft
A recent security breach has affected decentralized cross-chain liquidity protocol THORChain, resulting in the theft of around $10.8 million across four blockchain networks.
The attacker targeted Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Base deployments, with on-chain data showing coordinated transfers across multiple networks.
According to Arkham Intelligence, the attacker's wallets currently hold 3,443 ETH worth approximately $7.77 million, 36.85 BTC valued at around $2.97 million, and 96.6 BNB valued near $66,000.
