BitMEX Co-Founder Arthur Hayes Exits Zcash Over Orchard Pool Bug
Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, has made headlines with his latest move in the cryptocurrency market. He has sold his entire Zcash position due to a vulnerability in the Orchard Pool that cannot be cryptographically ruled out.
The bug, which poses a theoretical risk to the privacy guarantee of Zcash transactions, is considered extremely low in terms of probability. However, it was enough for Hayes to take action and liquidate his holdings in the coin.
This move marks the end of what Hayes called his 'Holy Trinity' portfolio, which previously included HYPE and NEAR tokens. He has sold all three positions, with plans to explain his reasoning for the HYPE and NEAR sales next Tuesday.
