Galaxy Digital Takes Over Texas Tech Stadium Naming Rights for 15 Years
Galaxy Digital has locked down a 15-year naming rights deal with Texas Tech University for its football stadium, which will be rebranded as Galaxy Stadium. The partnership, announced on July 17, grants Galaxy Digital exclusive digital assets and data center partner status for Texas Tech Athletics.
The agreement also includes plans for joint ventures in artificial intelligence development, educational workforce initiatives, and opportunities related to student-athlete name, image, and likeness (NIL) programs. Galaxy Stadium will debut on September 5, 2026, when the Red Raiders face Abilene Christian in their season opener.
The partnership is part of a larger trend in Texas emerging as a hub for cryptocurrency businesses and mining facilities. Major players such as Riot Platforms, Cipher Mining, Core Scientific, CleanSpark, IREN, and Hut 8 maintain operational facilities throughout the state.
