Spacecoin Revolutionizes Decentralized Communication in Orbit

Spacecoin is an innovative project that seeks to establish a shared, interoperable layer for the orbital economy. By building a constellation of blockchain-enabled small satellites in low-Earth orbit, Spacecoin aims to provide communication services for space-based data centers and underconnected terrestrial regions.

The project has made significant progress, launching its first satellite, CTC-0, in December 2024 and facilitating the world's first end-to-end blockchain transaction through space in October 2025. The network expanded with three additional satellites in November 2025, enabling testing of intersatellite links.

The Spacecoin team is focused on testing network stability and intersatellite performance. The stated goal is to move toward full commercial deployment by 2027 as additional orbital infrastructure comes online.
