BTC Digital Partners with Aurora Energy to Develop Off-Grid Computing Infrastructure

BTC Digital Ltd., a US-based crypto asset technology company, has announced an ambitious project to develop off-grid natural gas-powered computing infrastructure in Alberta, Canada. The agreement with Aurora Energy Ltd. marks a strategic shift for the company, which aims to transition from digital asset computing to energy-backed computing infrastructure.

The project's first phase will involve developing a 5-10 MW off-grid facility using stranded natural gas for on-site power to support high-performance computing. BTC Digital will contribute mining equipment and operational expertise while preparing to integrate AI systems and modular data centers.
