Ethereum Foundation Prepares for Quantum Computing Threats with New Resource Hub
The Ethereum Foundation has taken steps to protect its network from future quantum computing threats by launching a resource hub called 'Post-Quantum Ethereum'. The team behind this initiative aims to implement quantum solutions into the Ethereum protocol by 2029.
According to the Post-Quantum team, no imminent quantum threat exists for cryptography-secured blockchains. However, early action is necessary due to the complexity involved in migrating a decentralized, global protocol. This process will take years of coordination, engineering, and formal verification.
