Bitmine's Ethereum Purchases Signal End of Mini Crypto Winter
Bitmine, a major player in the cryptocurrency market, has made significant purchases of Ethereum (ETH) tokens in recent weeks. According to reports, Bitmine acquired 65,341 ETH since March 16, bringing its total holdings to around $140 million at current prices.
This acquisition makes Bitmine the largest Ethereum treasury holder on the planet, with a total of 4.661 million ETH held in its treasury. Of these, 3.14 million are already staked, generating an estimated $272 million annually at a 2.83% yield.
Tom Lee, a well-known cryptocurrency analyst, predicts that Ethereum is in the final stages of a mini crypto winter and expects a price rebound soon. Lee notes that ETH has risen 18% since the Iran war commenced, outperforming equities by 2,450 basis points, and identifies crypto as a proven wartime store of value.
The 200-day EMA sits at $2,400, and it is the only level that matters right now. ETH has failed to reclaim it three times over the past six weeks. Every rally has stalled at the same ceiling.
