Stuart Alderoty, Ripple's chief legal officer, has spoken out against a recent documentary directed by Hollywood actor Ben McKenzie. The documentary, 'Everyone Is Lying to You for Money', has been released to significant media attention and features interviews with crypto skeptics, ordinary investors who lost their life savings, and even Sam Bankman-Fried.

Alderoty took to social media to express his concerns about the film's portrayal of the industry. He argued that McKenzie is painting the industry with an unfairly broad brush, highlighting that tens of millions of everyday Americans are already using cryptocurrencies in practical ways, such as diversifying their income and accessing new financial opportunities.
