BitGo Taps Ex-MAS Regulator as APAC Chief Amid Growing Demand for Compliant Crypto Services

BitGo has bolstered its presence in Asia by hiring Angela Ang as Managing Director of APAC and President of BitGo Singapore. Ang brings over a decade's worth of experience from her time at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where she led the team that built and operated the country's payments and crypto licensing framework.

Ang joins BitGo from TRM Labs, where she served as Head of APAC Public Policy and Strategic Partnerships. She has been tasked with leading business growth, market development, and operating infrastructure across Asia-Pacific.

The hire comes amid a push by financial institutions to partner with regulated digital asset service providers like BitGo. The company's recent dtcpay partnership and Moon collaboration add weight to its efforts in the region.
