BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes recently made headlines for liquidating his entire position of 6,000 Ethereum tokens at a loss. The sale occurred at approximately $1,690 per token, resulting in a realized loss of around $606,000 after purchasing the tokens at an average entry price of $1,793.
This move is notable because Hayes typically follows a buy-low, sell-high approach. His decision to exit at a loss has sparked discussion among market observers tracking his blockchain transactions.
Interestingly, other major holders were accumulating Ethereum during the same period. K3 Capital and a wallet associated with entrepreneur Chun Wang purchased more than 17,000 ETH tokens combined, indicating that some investors view current price levels as attractive entry points.
