The intersection of cryptocurrency and institutional finance was the focus of a recent panel discussion at the Hack Seasons Conference in Cannes. The event brought together senior market participants to review current developments and emerging opportunities in the institutional digital-asset sector.
The panel, moderated by Harry Grant, DeFi Manager at Re7, featured speakers from Franklin Templeton, The Spartan Group, Bybit, and OneAsset. They explored how capital is shifting across the digital-asset landscape, with a particular focus on the growing role of tokenization and real-world assets.
The speakers emphasized that infrastructure remains the foundation that makes this shift possible. However, they noted that current limitations in regulatory clarity are holding back adoption. The panel agreed that clarity around licensing, stablecoins, settlement, and compliance will be crucial for institutional participation.
