Bitcoin Surges Above $66K as Stablecoin Withdrawals Accelerate
Bitcoin has broken through the $66K barrier and is continuing to rise. The leading cryptocurrency gained 3% over the past day, pushing it closer to its May highs.
The price of Bitcoin is currently testing an important resistance zone of $66-68K, according to TradingView and FxPro data.
Investors are withdrawing stablecoins from exchanges at a rate of $2.3 billion per month, which could be hindering the market's growth and preventing Bitcoin from breaking out of its consolidation phase.
The ability for Bitcoin to consolidate above the 61.8% retracement zone from the May-June sell-off would be a strong signal that an upside trend reversal is underway.
