Bitget Continues Turkey Promotions Amid Regulatory Scrutiny
Bitget, a global cryptocurrency exchange, is continuing its promotional activities in Turkey despite regulatory restrictions on platforms without a Capital Markets Board (SPK) license. The platform has been observed using crypto influencers and Turkish-language accounts to share campaigns and advertisements on social media.
According to experts, affiliate links or promotional content directing users on behalf of the platform may have legal consequences for both the platform and those sharing the content under current regulations. Bitget's use of influencer collaborations and Turkish-language promotional activities conducted through the Bitget Global Turkey Community is a closely followed topic in the coming period.
Under Law No. 7518, marketing activities of offshore platforms directed at Turkey may also fall under sanctions. This has raised concerns that influencers promoting unauthorized crypto asset service providers, as well as individuals or entities acting as intermediaries for marketing activities, may face sanctions.
