Ripple Secures Full EU MiCA License, Expands Cross-Border Payments Reach
Ripple has received full MiCA authorization from Luxembourg's financial regulator, clearing it to offer regulated crypto payments across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area.
This is a major milestone for Ripple, which now holds over 75 licenses worldwide. The company already had an EU money license and needed this final approval to operate under Europe's crypto rules.
The CASP license, or Crypto Asset Service Provider license, means that European banks, fintechs, and businesses can move both regular money and crypto through a single Ripple setup across all 30 countries.
Cassie Craddock, Ripple's UK and Europe boss, said the company is now 'fully compliant and ready to scale.'
