UNDP Forms Blockchain Advisory Group for Public Service Applications

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has taken a significant step towards harnessing the potential of blockchain technology for public service applications. The establishment of the Blockchain Advisory Group (BAG) marks a major initiative in this direction.

The BAG brings together 26 institutions, including prominent blockchain foundations and organizations, to explore the benefits of blockchain in improving financial accessibility, efficiency, and transparency. One of the key areas of focus is inclusive finance, where blockchain technology can help bridge gaps in payment systems and digital identity.
