Vitalik Buterin's Recent Ether Sales Amidst Price Drop

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum and a prominent figure in blockchain development, has made significant sales of Ether (ETH) in recent days. According to data from Lookonchain, Buterin sold 1,869 ETH worth approximately $3.7 million over the last two days.

The sales bring his total disposals this year to nearly 9,000 ETH, valued at around $18 million. This comes amidst a decline in Ether's price, which fell from $1,957 to $1,856 on Sunday evening due to global tariff changes announced by President Trump.

Despite the liquidation, Buterin still holds a substantial amount of Ethereum, with over 224,000 ETH remaining in his possession. This stake is valued at roughly $429 million at current market prices, making him one of the largest known individual holders of the asset.
