France Sets Strict Deadline for Crypto Firms Under MiCA Regulation
France's financial regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), has issued a warning to crypto companies regarding the impending deadline for securing authorization under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). As of July 1, crypto firms operating in France will need to have MiCA approval to continue providing services legally.
The AMF has stated that firms continuing to target EU customers without authorization after the June 30 deadline may face blacklisting and enforcement action, including prosecution. This warning reflects a broader European debate over how strictly MiCA should be applied.
