Bukov Breaks Away from 1inch, Launches New DeFi Project
Anton Bukov, co-founder of the decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch, revealed that he was fired from the project in November 2025. In a post on X, Bukov stated that his duties as economic and security designer were terminated at the end of last year.
Bukov, who owns 50% of the company's shares, claimed that user feedback prompted him to seek a more operational role, but this move ultimately led to his departure. The engineer maintained that he has not been involved with 1inch since December 2025 and instead launched a new project called Second Tier, focused on decentralized financial infrastructure.
The 1inch management team confirmed that the protocol's operations have not been affected by Bukov's departure. The team assured users that normal activities continue, including the execution of smart contracts and basic infrastructure, without interruptions.
