Cryptocurrency Exchanges without KYC Verification: A Comparison of Ten Platforms

The cryptocurrency market has seen a rise in exchanges claiming to offer no-KYC verification, but many of these claims are misleading. In reality, most of these exchanges will freeze or cancel trades above a certain threshold or request additional identification information.

To identify the truly anonymous exchanges, researchers compared ten platforms across three criteria: their ability to maintain a no-KYC policy at scale, settlement times, and trade restrictions. The results show that only Godex, an instant swap service, consistently holds its no-KYC line for all transactions, including those above $100,000.

Godex stands out due to its non-custodial architecture, which means that users' funds are never held by the exchange. This design allows for maximum trustlessness and cryptographic certainty that no third party has touched their coins. However, other exchanges on the list, such as BasicSwap and RoboSats, also offer unique features like atomic swaps or Tor routing.
