Chainlink and Canton Partner for Institutional Finance

Chainlink's oracle infrastructure has been successfully integrated into the public blockchain Canton, a platform built for institutional finance. This integration provides regulated financial institutions with access to real-time pricing, asset verification, and valuation data required for on-chain operations.

The deployment covers three key products from Chainlink's data infrastructure stack: Data Streams, SmartData NAV and AUM feeds, and Proof of Reserve. These tools give Canton applications the data layer they need to support lending, margining, settlement, and risk management.

Several teams within the Canton ecosystem are already running Chainlink data in production environments. The integration is part of a broader pattern, with Chainlink's expanding role across institutional blockchains. Once deployed, Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) will add cross-chain asset transfer to the stack.
