Strategy Unveils Rare Bitcoin Sale Amid Market Volatility
Strategy, a large corporate holder of Bitcoin, has made a significant move by selling 32 BTC for the first time in nearly four years. According to a recent filing, the sale took place between May 26 and May 31, generating approximately $2.5 million in proceeds.
The company's decision to sell its Bitcoin holdings is notable, as it has historically emphasized long-term accumulation and rarely disposes of its assets. However, the sale represents only a small fraction of Strategy's total holdings, which currently stand at 843,706 BTC.
Strategy remains one of the most closely watched entities in crypto markets, with investors monitoring its treasury activity and future transactions using on-chain intelligence platforms such as Arkham. The company's use of proceeds from the sale will fund distributions on preferred stock, as stated in the 8-K filing.
