Crypto Hack and Exploit Losses Hit $52 Million in March
Crypto hack and exploit losses have continued their upward trend, reaching a new high of $52 million in March, according to PeckShield.
This marks the highest monthly loss since January 2022, when hackers exploited vulnerabilities in various DeFi protocols, resulting in significant financial losses for investors.
The security firm attributes the increase in losses to an uptick in attacks targeting decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, which have become increasingly popular among crypto enthusiasts.
