Ethereum Community Introduces Clear Signing Feature to Prevent Blind Signing Attacks

The Ethereum community has made a significant step towards improving security in the blockchain space with the introduction of Clear Signing.

Clear Signing is a feature that aims to prevent blind signing attacks by making transaction details human-readable, reducing the risk of users unknowingly signing malicious transactions and losing their assets.

The feature is being integrated into several self-custody crypto wallets, including Ledger, Trezor, and MetaMask, as part of the Ethereum Foundation's Trillion Dollar Security Initiative.

According to Tomáš Sušánka, Trezor's chief technology officer, attackers have been exploiting blind signing relentlessly due to the lack of a widely accessible security feature that can distinguish malicious smart contracts from legitimate transactions.
