Web3 Talent Access Challenge: Over Half of Aspiring Professionals Struggle to Land First Job

A report by Bitget has found that aspiring Web3 professionals are facing significant barriers to entry in the industry. According to the study, more than 54% of respondents identified prior experience requirements for junior positions as the biggest obstacle to entering the industry.

The report, which surveyed aspiring and early-career professionals across multiple regions, also found that 52% of respondents said their education provided theoretical knowledge but lacked practical job-ready skills. This suggests that while Web3 is attracting highly educated talent, many candidates remain unable to secure their first role.

The findings suggest that the sector faces a 'talent access challenge' rather than a 'talent shortage'. Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget, said: 'The industry has succeeded in attracting talent globally. The challenge now is converting talent into employment.'
