US Government Deposits $9M in Ethereum to Coinbase Prime
The US government has made another move in its gradual process of liquidating seized FTX assets. Approximately $9.29 million worth of Ethereum was deposited into Coinbase Prime, a platform that offers custody services and trading capabilities for institutional clients.
The transfer, which took place on July 15, involved 4,820 ETH and came with some notable additions: around 5.489 billion SHIB tokens, 631.7 thousand POWR tokens, and 1.06 million AERGO tokens also made the move to Coinbase Prime.
This is not an isolated event; it's part of a pattern that has been building throughout 2026. In May, around $1.9 million in altcoins from the same FTX/Alameda seizure pool were deposited to Coinbase Prime, followed by smaller transactions in June.
