Pakistan Taps Crypto Diplomacy to Build Ties with Trump-Linked Figures
Pakistan's government has been exploring unconventional ways to build relationships with the United States, particularly with figures linked to former President Donald Trump. At the center of this effort is Bilal Bin Saqib, a 35-year-old adviser who has quickly gained influence in his role.
Bin Saqib's involvement began when he helped bring Binance founder Changpeng Zhao on board as a strategic adviser to the Pakistan Crypto Council. This move was seen as a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two countries, particularly in the area of crypto adoption.
The outreach efforts have not been limited to just meetings and discussions, however. Bin Saqib has also hosted executives from World Liberty Financial in Islamabad, where both sides signed a letter of intent on stablecoin adoption. This development has significant implications for trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and the US.
