XRP Prices Surpass $10 Million Due to Exchange Glitch
A glitch on multiple cryptocurrency exchanges caused XRP prices to surge beyond $10 million per token, sparking conversation among the XRP community.
The anomaly was reported by crypto enthusiast Paul White (@PaulGoldEagle) in a screenshot showing XRP Markets data across various exchanges. The screenshot displayed prices between $9.1 million and $13.9 million per token on nearly every major exchange.
This is not an isolated incident, as similar glitches have occurred in the past. In August 2024, a glitch showed XRP at $62,000, shortly before a court ruling that upheld XRP's status. Months later, in January 2025, users reported XRP at $81.91 and $95.57 in wallet apps.
Analysts attribute these glitches to data feed errors, exchange system malfunctions, or liquidity irregularities on lower-volume trading pairs. Platforms processing millions of transactions per second can produce price distortions during brief miscalculations.
