YGG Play and Verse8 Launch 'Casual Degen' Game Track at BuidlHack 2026

A new game track has been introduced at BuidlHack 2026, a hackathon that brings together developers to experiment with rapid game creation using AI tools and publishing support.

The 'Casual Degen' game track, launched by YGG Play and Verse8, aims to accelerate the development of crypto-native gaming experiences. The model has already demonstrated strong commercial performance, with YGG Play's LOL Land generating over $8 million in revenue.

Participants will use Verse8's AI-powered platform to move from initial concept to playable prototype in a significantly shorter timeframe. They will also receive go-to-market expertise and infrastructure from YGG Play, including a $5,000 prize pool and additional funding opportunities.
