BNP Paribas Expands Crypto Exposure for French Investors
BNP Paribas is expanding its digital asset offerings in France with the introduction of six crypto-linked exchange-traded notes (ETNs). These new products will enable retail investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin and Ether through securities accounts, without the need for direct ownership or storage.
The ETNs track the price of these cryptocurrencies and can be accessed through standard securities accounts. This allows individual investors, entrepreneurs, private banking clients, and users of Hello bank! to invest in crypto-linked products within a regulated framework.
This move is part of BNP Paribas' broader efforts to increase its presence in the digital finance space. The bank has been actively involved in blockchain and tokenization activities across Europe, including the arrangement and placement of Slovenia's first digital sovereign bond in 2024.
